What Models Have TSS?

Almost every new vehicle from the Toyota lineup is equipped with TSS, with popular models including the Prius, Camry, Tundra, and Sienna. Other TSS models include SUVs such as the Highlander, Sequoia, Corolla Cross, and RAV4. What Assistance Does TSS Offer?

When you purchase a new Toyota model, you'll have many driver assistance features at your disposal that provide added peace of mind. Specific features vary depending on the TSS version your vehicle is equipped with, and we recommend Orland Park drivers check the Owner's Manual for more information. On new Toyota models, the primary TSS assistance features include:

  • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection - Utilizing an integrated camera and radar system, this system helps reduce the chance of colliding with a car or pedestrian. In some models, this system adds Bicyclist Detection to further improve safety on the streets of Oak Lawn.
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control - This system uses a radar sensor located behind the Toyota badge on the front of the vehicle and a windshield-mounted camera to adjust your speed and maintain a preset distance from the car in front of you while cruise control is enabled. Some Toyota models also have Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control that works at speeds under 25 mph for stop-and-go traffic.
  • Lane Departure Alert - Using the windshield-mounted camera, this system alerts you when you've veered from your lane, helping you avoid the consequences of unintended lane departure.
  • Automatic High Beams - Helping improve visibility at night without the fear of blinding oncoming drivers in Bucktown, this system can detect headlights and taillights on the road ahead and toggle between high and low beams accordingly.
  • Lane Tracing Assist - When using Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, this system uses the lines on the road to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane on the way to Calumet City.
  • Road Sign Assist - Taking advantage of a forward-facing camera, Road Sign Assist can detect and display signs on the Multi-Information Display. This system can recognize multiple styles of signage, including speed limit, stop, yield, and 'Do Not Enter' signs.
